On the Best **** Sports Show Period, Jeremy Roenick states, "I don't think we will underachieve next year, Stanley Cup next year for the Sharks."

Okay, now we know who will win it. Right?

  1. I didn't know jermy roenick plays for the DETROIT RED WINGS now..thats the only way he is going to raise the cup

  2. I SAW THAT ;)

I REALLY HOPE THE SHARKS DO WIN!!!!!

    GO SHARKS

  3. I would certainly not count them out. They are still one of the elite teams in NHL. Losing only Patrick Rismiller thus far is virtually meaningless...

I don't understand when people will learn not to judge the upcoming season on last years post-season performance.

Carolina - won stanley cup -- missed playoffs next year

Edmonton - lost in finals -- missed playoffs

Anaheim - won stanley cup -- lost in first round

Ottawa - lost in finals - lost in first round

The NHL is so competitive now that you can't really pick a winner just yet, but still I would say San Jose will be in the top 5 next year.

  4. Yep, the Wings will repeat.

  5. I hate that show so much... its so stupid and pointless...

I think that'll work as much as formerly-known-as-Haley's jynx did on the Wings... (not at all)

  6. Is The Best Darn Sports Show Period still on the air?  That's much more suprising news than JR saying positives about his team.

Also, DUSTIN W, Brian Campbell left.

  7. Agreed with Moose on the hatred of that show. Roenick is a has been and needed to exit years ago. He is nothing more than a media w***e now because he knows that once he is out of that media spotlight, it will take not long to sweep him under the rug and move on.

  8. No. San Jose's going nowhere. LOL @ the team that almost lost to Calgary when the flames had a c**p season.

If Montreal lands Sundin, cup goes to Quebec once again.

  9. right, because basically, Roenick's history is ... whatever he says ... about anything ... always happens.

so because HE said it, it MUST happen.

how many times has a player said that they and their team is gunning for the Stanley Cup. too many to count. all players, frankly, should have that mindset. what is he supposed to say? "no, our goal this year is to make the playoffs, and lose in the first round. as long as we make the playoffs, we've reached our goal"? every hockey players' goal is the championship.

every player on every team is gunning for the Stanley Cup. the difference is ... some know that it's wishful thinking, and others know they have a chance. anything above that is arrogance, or media posturing.

(i know you were just making a point, and are partially kidding. this is more for the other users).

  10. That guy is a clown...always has been. I listen to what Bin Laden has to say more than him.
