Jeremy Stravius acquires Men’s 200m IM gold: 2012 French Short Course Nationals
Jeremy Stravius of Amiens Metropole Nat. acquired gold medal of the Men’s 200m Individual Medley (IM) on day one of 2012 French Short Course Nationals on Thursday, November 15.
Stravius spoiled the party of his opponents in the 200m race and proved his eligibility for the title. With his unrelenting efforts, he remained comfortably ahead of his challengers and raked the title.
Stravius remained in a prominent lead over his opponents and surfaced on the finishing wall for gold medal by reporting an effort of 1 minute and 54.50 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Ganesh Pedurand of Dauphins Toulouse OEC, who stayed 3.23 seconds slower from him and snared silver medal of the event by clocking a time of 1 minute and 57.73 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Taki M’Rabet of Stade Francais O Courbevoie, who was nearly 0.80 seconds behind and ended his race in a time of 1 minute and 58.58 seconds.
Fourth position of the race was obtained by Romain Landry of Dauphins Toulouse OEC, who stayed only 0.18 seconds away from his preceding swimmer and clocked an effort of 1 minute and 58.76 seconds.
Fifth spot of the race was obtained by Victor Migeon of ASPTT Grand Toulouse, who was only two body lengths slower and cruised his way towards the finishing end by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 00.54 seconds.
Migeon was followed by Arnaud Rondan of Nautic Club Nimes, who was 0.38 seconds behind and concluded his race in a time of 2 minutes and 00.92 seconds for sixth position.
Seventh spot of the race was obtained by Cyril Chatron of Amberieu Natation, who was 1.29 seconds slower from his former finisher and concluded his race in a time of 2 minutes and 02.21 seconds.
Quentin Coton of CN Antibes was disqualified from the event due to an improper stroke and thus failed to overpower any of his challengers.
In addition, Stravius was overjoyed with his gold finish in the race and told that he will try to live up to the expectations of his followers by doing the same in future.
