Jeremy Stravius occupies Men’s 400m IM gold: 2012 French Short Course Nationals
Jeremy Stravius of Amiens Metropole Nat. occupied gold medal of the Men’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) on second day of 2012 French Short Course Nationals on Friday, November 16.
Stravius enjoyed a comfortable lead over his challengers and transpired on the finishing wall for the title. He faced no trouble from his opponents throughout the discipline and occupied the crown.
With his relentless efforts in the event, Stravius enjoyed a comfortable lead over his opponents and tapped the wall for gold medal with a wonderful timing of 4 minutes and 06.85 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Arnaud Rondan of Nautic Club Nimes, who stayed three and a half body lengths behind and posted a time of 4 minutes and 10.07 seconds for silver medal.
Rondan was chased by Sebastien Rouault of Lyon Natation, who was 0.89 seconds away from upsetting his foregoing finisher and secured third position in the race by touching the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 10.96 seconds.
The third position holder was traced by Quentin Coton of CN Antibes, who suffered a loss of only 0.16 seconds from his preceding swimmer and occupied fourth position by clocking an effort of 4 minutes and 11.12 seconds.
Fifth fastest spot of the race was obtained by Taki M’Rabet of Stade Francais O Courbevoie, who was significantly slower from his foregoing finisher and ended his race in a time of 4 minutes and 15.04 seconds.
Sixth position of the race was obtained by Ganesh Pedurand of Dauphins Toulouse OEC, who was 0.91 seconds apart and ended his race in a time of 4 minutes and 15.95 seconds.
Similarly, Pedurand remained 5.98 seconds ahead of Victor Migeon of ASPTT Grand Toulouse, who finished his race in seventh place by touching the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 21.93 seconds.
Hugo Tormento of CN Caledoniens, who was disqualified from the event due to an improper turn and was unable to upset any of his opponents.
In addition, Stravius was happy with his top finish and articulated his desire of accomplishing the same in future events.
