Tottenham Hotspur striker, Jermaine Defoe has shown sympathy towards axed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 captain Rio Ferdinand but has urged the players to back the new skipper John Terry.

The Italian dismissed Terry from the job 13 months ago after his personal life allegations

The former Real Madrid manager has received huge criticisms from all corners for his decision. The football pundits believe that this decision will leave bitter consequences on the national team and it will split the team into groups.

The former Portsmouth striker believes that it is normal to get disappointed because captaining your national team is a huge honour but at the same time being a professional you have to accept these decisions for your team’s sake.
Capello announced Terry’s re-appointment as captain in a training session on Tuesday. The striker said that everybody should now accept the fact that Terry is the skipper and just direct their energies on winning the next game.
