  1. Of the guys on this list, I'd put Guerrero, Pence, Bruce, and Quentin in the top half. Damon, Burrell, Granderson, Dye, and Francoeur in the bottom.

Damon is a fine player who is on an absolute tear right now. But he isn't someone I'd want starting over a lot of these guys strictly because of the way the outfield seems to be rotated by the Yankees. With Posada likely destined for some DH duty with his shoulder, there aren't enough spots for all the bats. Damon, Cabrera, and Matsui can only play three positions. I wouldn't want to rely on that.

I'm firmly convinced that Jermaine Dye will fall off further in the second half. He's .231 in his last ten games and, for a guy that is a power hitter, is sitting at 9 home runs and 23 RBI. Again, you can do better. Jeff Francouer should hit better in the second half, and we've seen the power numbers get a bit better. But he's still holding steady around .250 at this point in the season. I don't like those numbers out of a starting outfielder. Burrell is fine. No doubt has the power numbers, but he will kill your average as a .260 career hitter. But .260/33/90 is not too bad either.

Carlos Quentin is the outfielder to own if you're going for a White Sox. He's been better than advertised and showed sparks of this in Arizona last year. He just didn't get the playing time. No track record, but no reason to think he can't keep it up either. Jay Bruce, if he stays up, will be a top-20 outfielder the rest of the way. I see .285/20/65.

Pence is coming on strong, raising his average from .260 in April to .292 currently. He lit up May and hit over .300 last season. He could certainly put up stats similar to or better than Jay Bruce's projections and he'll steal a few bases in the process. Guerrero is a stud. The concern with him right now is the injured knee. When healthy, he's better than anyone here.

Given the choice, I'll take Quentin followed closely by Bruce and Pence. If Guerrero is healthy, he'd be next, then Burrell.

    Hope this helps.

  2. I take it those six are your current outfield.  if that's the case I wouldn't change any of them for any of those three.

  3. Pat Burrell is the best.

Its close between him and Francouer. I would keep Francouer because hes starting to hit.

  4. Vlad is sucking it up this year.  I'd go with Burrel.  Francoeur has been struggling of late, but Granderson is pretty good.
