Question:

Jermaine Taylor Vs Carl Froch? Who Wins?

There is talk of a WBC World Title fight for the vacant WBC Super Middle title between Taylor and Froch.

Taylor beat Hopkins twice in fairly controversial descisions, but then looked unimpressive in every defence of his middle title, then got beat by Pavlik.

Froch is talented, hits hard and has a good chin, but apart from a shot Robin Reid, has only beaten fringe contenders.

So, who wins between these two, and why?

  1. I honestly think the outcome will depend on whether or not Taylor has rebounded from his pair of losses to Pavlik. The losses seem to have made him a better fighter, and he seemed satisified with the rematch, as many unofficial scorers, such as ESPN and I think FOX, had him winning. They seemed to have ignited a fire inside his fighting spirit, which is good. I think Taylor will beat Froch if he's in good shape, which he probably is. Taylor is still in his prime and has a lot of great years ahead of him, seeing as how Froch is your typical untested European fighter, I say Taylor by wide UD.

  2. TAYLOR

  3. Taylor will be a big step up in class for the very limited'Cobra'who frankly is little more than a club fighter and typically the Brits are hyping this guy up to be something he's not, like they've done with Calzaghe!Taylor would stop him.Sorry I cant give you the answer your obviously looking for.

  4. people in other forums says carl froch will win due to his power......... but problem is. carl froch didnt knock out his last opponent who was not punching. so taylor

  5. taylor because he's the more hungry, determined stronger fighter og them both.. i dont think hes ready to hang dem gloves up yyet..

  6. Froch by split decision

  7. I saw Carl Froch's last fight and he didn't impress me at all, especially considering that the guy he fought was 37 years old, only had 15 fights, and never faced anyone noteworthy. Froch is a decent fighter, but I think that Jermain Taylor is much better and will win if this fight comes off. Taylor has faced the MUCH better competition (Bernard Hopkins, Winky Wright, Cory Spinks, Kelly Pavlik) and is still pretty young, and I just think that he would show that he is the much better skilled fighter.  Froch has primarily faced bums in Europe for his whole career and he is already 30 years old. Plus, Taylor fought the Pavlik rematch at super middleweight, so he has the experience of fighting at that weight before, and he looked good in that fight even though he lost. I say that Taylor wins on points if this fight gets made.
