The former Manchester City player claimed that his current side is more organized and has a better chance of winning trophies.
Die Bayern have put in some sensational performances this season and are being regarded as the favourites to win the Bundesliga at the end of the season ahead of the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Schalke. The team has not only
performed well domestically but also in Europe and has qualified for the knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League.
Boateng, who joined the German giants in the summer last year from Manchester City, admitted that the training methods and the philosophy is much better at Bayern. He insisted that City have a huge squad and they have invested
heavily in new players but still the team lacks unity.
The German international claimed that he has no regrets of his move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 as he has a better chance of securing silverware at Allianz Arena.
“At Bayern everything is better coordinated. In training, you recognise the signature of the trainer. Manchester City have 38 players, some training here, others there. There are good players there, but overall something is missing,”
he was quoted as saying in an interview.
However, the former Hamburg SV player is certain that the cash rich English side has a great future ahead and that they are going in the right direction.
Boateng also talked about playing a potential role in the upcoming European championships for Germany. The player admitted that he has a chance to play in the team as a right-back as the positions in the heart of defence will be
difficult to fight for. However, he insisted that he wants to play as a central defender after the tournament as he enjoys playing in that position.
“In terms of opportunities, neither team is far away [from achieving glory]. [With Germany] I have better chances on the right side. Up until the Euros I will perhaps play on the right but after that, I want to play in the middle,”
he concluded.
Bayern Munich will next take on Borussia Monchengladbach this Friday to resume the Bundesliga after the one-month winter break.
