Jerome Taylor ever ready for national duty
West Indian fast bowler, Jerome Taylor, has expressed his desire to play for the national side. He was not considered by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) for the ICC World Cup 2011 and was also ignored for the home series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755.
The 26-year-old pacer is currently representing the Pune Warriors http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 (PWI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Caribbean Kings will host a complete series against India in June-July, which will feature one Twenty20, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Test matches.
Taylor wants to be a part of the team for the forthcoming series, but will have to wait for the decision of the board.
The right-handed pacer stated, “I am always looking forward to play cricket for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760. I'm looking forward to play against India if selected. It is not in my hands. I just have to make sure that I do what's necessary on my part and leave the rest
to the selectors, whether they find me fit to select or not.”
Commenting on his participation in the lucrative league, Taylor said, “Basically I'm just trying to enjoy my cricket. And enjoy my time here. I'm concentrating playing in the IPL. But whenever the West Indies duty calls, I'll make sure that I'll be there
to play for my country.”

The explosive opener, Chris Gayle, is another player, who has been ignored by the WICB and will be eying a comeback for his national side. The dashing left-hander is currently representing the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the cash rich league and
has won matches on his own for the franchise.
