http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cameron-Jerome-c8284 revealed that he had no plans of bidding farewell to Stoke City this summer, despite failing to cement his place in the starting line-up last season.
The English International arrived at the Britannia Stadium on the transfer deadline date last summer from Birmingham City, after signing a four-year contract with the Potters. However, he failed to make an instant impression on manager, Tony Pulis, as he
featured in just 23 league games during the entire 2011/12 campaign.
Earlier, Jerome had made his apprehensions over his lack of playing time on the field public, and revealed that he will discuss the subject of his Stoke future with Pulis.
Nonetheless, the forward indicated that despite his apparent struggles at the club, he was not intending on parting ways with the Potters, and set himself the target of making an impression on his manager during the pre-season fixtures.

Jerome is reported to have said, “From my perspective, I just have to work hard, that's all I want to do. I didn't have a pre-season last year, I was always playing catch up. So this year I want to have a good base for pre-season and then see what happens
going into the start of pre-season.”
However, the striker’s task of securing a place in the staring eleven is expected to become even more difficult, as according to some reports, the Potters are making overtures for the former Manchester United striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Owen-c25355. Currently, the 31-year
old is available in the transfer market as a free agent.
Aware of Owen’s proposed move to Stoke, Jerome refused to be let down by the prospect of competing with a new attacker for a place in the team, insisting that he will wait for any opportunity that presents itself and vowed to grab it with both hands.
He added, “As a footballer you have to get your head down and work for the opportunity.”
