Jerome d’Ambrosio looks forward to deliver his best in 2012 Italian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Lotus test driver, Jerome d’Ambrosio is looking forward to deliver his best in 2012 Italian Grand Prix in which he is going to replace Romain Grosjean who has been hit by a one-race suspension penalty.
Grosjean has been banned to take part in the Italian GP because of an accident happened due to his fault in the Belgian GP held at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Moreover, the unpleasant incident caused the retirement of the three other drivers too which
included, Lewis Hamilton of McLaren, Fernando Alonso of Ferrari and Sergio Perez of Sauber.
Nevertheless, the Enstone based team has recently declared that d’Ambrosio will run the car in the race ahead in place of Grosjean.
The Belgian driver raced with Virgin due the last season and certainly possesses the talent to sit behind the wheel of and F1 car.
Although, he said that the circumstance in which he is going to race are quite difficult, however, he asserted that it is a great opportunity for him to prove his potential.
Furthermore, he said that is feeling highly motivated and is preparing himself for the forthcoming race. In addition, he said that he is earnestly waiting to take part in the approaching race and is aiming to attain competitive score.
“I understand circumstances in which drive has come about, but for me it's a great opportunity and great challenge,” he said. “I first want to thank team for having faith in me and allowing me to step in car for this race at Monza. I will do everything I
can to do best possible job. I've worked hard outside car this year and tried to prepare as best I can just in case something like this happened. I want to make the most of this weekend.”
Besides, he said that he shares some amazing recollections with the track of the next race where he secured his last podium when he was in GP2.
“I had my last podium in GP2 there, so I have good memories of Monza,” he added.
Let’s see whether he will be able to come up to the expectations of his team in the upcoming race or not.
