Question:

Jersey Rabbit Breeders?

Ok, so I want to adopt a Jersey Wooly Rabbit but i can't seem to find a breeder anywhere near Rhode Island. I've already looked up rabbit network, but they need landlord's permission. My landlord is mean, so she's not likely to say yes if we ask, but won't bring it up if she sees, so it's not like I'm doing something illegal. I don't want to have to pay over $100, and am hoping to pay less. I'm also wondering if Jersey Woolys' fur is soft or like a guinea pigs. If not, I want to buy a dwarf rabbit. I need to find a breeder close to Rhode Island. I don't want to travel too far. A lot of people have commented me on the dwarf rabbit thing. I know their hyper, but if your going to post a comment and not an answer then I rather you don't. Thanks

  1. You can contact the ARBA (american rabbit breeders association) and they can connect you with a breeder in your area.  Best wishes!

They might not list the breeders right on the arba website - you can try sending arba an email.

  2. Jersey Wooley fur feels like cotton candy without the sticky-ness. They are an awesome breed. For a good breeder in your area check out the American Rabbit Breeders Assoc website

Try these websites. If none are in your area you might contact them about breeders they might know in your area. Usually people who breed the same breeds of rabbits will swap stock so they will likely know someone in your area who can help you.

    www.thekennemers.com

    www.hopalongs.com

    www.roselinebunnies.com

you can also use the ARBA site to link up with specialty clubs for specific breeds

  3. go back to the ARBA and look for shows in your area..you go to a rabbit show and there are 100s of breeders there and you can buy rabbits there too. Jersy woolys are fuzzy and have soft fur..I like them better then Netherland dwarfs but they also take a little more work as you have to brush them about once a week or so.
