  1. I think Jesse is a drama king. Obama take the lime light away from Jesse. This is not how a minister is suppose to act either.

  2. you should not be shocked by any 'off the record' comments made by Mr. Jackson.  i live in Chicago, which means i hear about this guys c**p all the time.'

he's made a name for himself trying to be the next Malcom X, and quite frankly his following is only popular because he's the loudest most obnoxious of those who speak out for the African American community.

he likes his money, his fame, and power.  he also privately dislikes many people he professes to support.  he's two faced and dirty as any other politician, which essentially is what he is.

  3. I think it was staged. Obama needs the white vote, and it

was done to distance himself from the blacks.

  4. It reflects the black community's infighting and inability to come together.  Obama is black when he wants to be and white when it hurts him.  Blacks really don't like Obama but he is blacker than McCain

  5. Got him back into the news.

  6. Yeah, that could be- I think you're right to some extent. I don't know what Obama said that was wrong- while blacks are indeed still negatively affected by racial matters, there are a lot of things they can personally change for the better that have nothing to do with racial prejudice and discrimination. I remember people getting ticked off at Bill Cosby as well when he "scolded" the black community. For example, they must get away from the notion that being good in school (or excelling at academics) is "fronting", or selling out the race- this is such a deadly attitude for anyone to have! As for Obama "choosing" to be black instead of white, I don't think he made this choice personally- American society made that choice long ago, the day he was born. While many more blacks would surely be offended if he were to see himself as a white person, you can rest assured white America would never accept him as being white. So I don't see what all the fuss is about with him identifying primarily with the black side of his ethnicity- anyone with a l**k of sense knows that he or any other person of mixed parentage would never be seen as a white person anyway- that's simply the way American society works. And, again, all this stuff about race is serving its purpose in diverting attention away from the real issues at hand- I am now much more concerned with the fact that Obama voted in favor of the legislation that now makes formerly illegal wiretapping completely legal- THAT is what we should be concerned about! Who gives a hoot what he looks like, or with which race he indentifies best? The fact that Obama (and Nancy Pelosi) voted in favor of wiretapping is much more disturbing to me than whether or not Obama is pretending to be black, white, Mexican, Hungarian, Thai, or whatever.

  7. I think it is hilarious. Typical Jesse Jackson / Al Sharpton baloney. It amazes me that anyone pays any attention to these idiots.

  8. A Reverend who has never had a Church. A politician who has never held any office, to me Jesse Jackson is the black Ralph Nader. Always flapping his gums but never saying anything. I do believe that when Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King was alive that Jesse was learning from him and would be a different kind of man if Rev. Dr. King had lived. I think his intentions were good back then. Now I think he has become bitter and ineffective. I don't think most people no matter their race pay much attention to Jesse anymore.

  9. It's about par for Jesse Jackson. Is anyone surprised? Does anyone over the age of 14 take JJ seriously?

The whole thing is a storm in a teacup. A moron has made a cretinous remark. And so what? All he has done is, yet again, expose his immaturity. Nothing that matters is affected. The world rolls on.
