Jessica Yadloczky performs well at Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open 2012
American Jessica Yadloczky displayed a good performance in the third round of Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open 2012, as she recorded a 65 to share the lead with Aussie Rebecca Artis.
Yadloczky got off to a sensible start in the prestigious tournament played at Golf Gerre Losone, Switzerland, as she scored a 69 in the opening round.
The American star’s challenge to competent LET (Ladies European Tour) stars came to an end when she posted an unimpressive 75 in the final round.
Analysts said that Yadloczky looked pretty confident right from the start, as she made it difficult for her rivals to play with ease. They added that although the professional star could not hold her ground in the concluding round, a superb performance in
the first three rounds boosted her confidence.
The rookie player tumbled to the 10th position after recording a low score on the last day, letting Carly Booth of Scotland, Anja Monke and Caroline Masson grab the top spot on the leaderboard.
On the other hand, Australian Rebecca Artis who maintained her lead from the first round, slipped to tie-8 after she registered a 74 in the fourth round.
Golf commentators said that Yadloczky has been playing well in the professional events, as she has shown that she can give a tough time to experienced players.
The American prodigy rose to fame after she made the cut at the Deloitte Dutch Ladies Open 2012. Similarly, a stellar performance in Switzerland has put her in the limelight, and she is expected to take her game more seriously.
Speaking to the media at the end of the third round, the ambitious golfer said that she has been seeking to prove her worth in professional events, and her latest performance came as a big inspiration.
She went on to say that playing among big names has helped her improve her game and strength, which will prove productive in the future.
“I think it all started in Germany when I went out and watched Sandra Gal and Laura Davies, Sophie, Trish Johnson and all the big names that were in the lead. I learned a lot,” Yadloczky said.
“They just hit greens and ever since then that’s all I’ve been focusing on. Last week was a good finish as well for me and that’s all I focused on, so I think if I keep doing that things will keep going from here”.
