The undefeated Super Lightweight Contender Jessie Vargas is very excited for being on the same card on which Floyd Mayweather, Victor Ortiz, Erik Morales and Lucas Matthysse are.
The United States rising star Jessie Vargas is set to take on the Californian Josesito Lopez on September 17, 2011 at the Staples Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and the five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather and the Mexican legend, Erik Morales, will
also be fighting on the same night.
The 22-year-old, Vargas, who has won all of his 16 professional fights including 9 by the way of a knockout, will be making his first Home Box Office Pay-Per-View appearance. Therefore, he knows the importance of the fight.
Vargas told the media this is a great opportunity for him and he will fully utilise it.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “I am definitely excited and will take full advantage of this opportunity. It's a pleasure and an honor to be on the same card as Floyd Mayweather and Erik Morales.
“I feel that I am ready for this big stage. I had two quick knockouts in my last two fights, but the preparation was there. I was ready for 10 rounds,” Vargas added.
In the end, Vargas said he and Lopez can also possibly steal the Mayweather-Ortiz show on September 17.
Vargas remarked, “I have a new trainer and I'm very happy with the work we have put in. There will be a difference in my style for the better. I expect a great fight from Lopez. We could definitely steal the show. We are both coming to fight.”
September 17 has already been officially declared as the biggest night in the boxing universe by the Fight Card.
However, let’s see whether Jessie Vargas will really be able to cope up with the pressure or not.
