why does jesus say in

JOHN 5:31-32

31."if i bear witness of myself,my witness is not true.

32."There is another who bears the witness of me,and i know that the witness which he witnesses of me is true"

that means "Jesus" "The Lord" are a different entity from GOD THE REAL GOD, because everyone says Jesus is the same as GOD but in these Versus he is NOT the Same as GOD...HMMMM that means WE should worship GOD NOT "JESUS" OR "THE LORD"

  1. Its the 3 in 1

    God The Father

    God The Son

    And God the Holy Spirit

so technically you are worshiping all of them at once.

Jesus is God's Son, Born of Mary and Joseph.

  2. You know what would be a great idea for you, I think.  Take about twenty years, and study the Torah, the five books of Moses.  After that, expand your study to the rest of Jewish Scripture.  Then after that, find a genuine Kabbalistic Master to study under, and begin to learn the seventy names of God.

Or become a Hindu, and know that all Gods are just lesser manifestations of Bramhim.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.  You're just a wee bit hung up on names, aren't you?

  3. ok.....

  4. Jesus (Christ the Son) is a distinct person from Jehovah (God the Father).. ..

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus was created by Jehovah, and that as a distinct person Jesus serves as God's primary agent. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus is much more blessed and powerful than any mere angel, but they also believe that the terms "archangel" and "angel" are not inappropriately applied to Jesus (see 1 Thess 4:16).

There are dozens of Scriptures which plainly show that Jesus is lesser than (and subject to) Almighty Jehovah God the Father. Obviously, all of the authority which Jesus received was delegated to him by Almighty Jehovah (God the Father). Caps are added to some citations below.

(Acts 2:36) God MADE HIM both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.

(Matthew 28:18) And [the resurrected] Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been GIVEN me in heaven and on the earth.

(John 3:35) The Father loves the Son and has GIVEN all things into his hand.

(Acts 5:31) GOD EXALTED this one as Chief Agent and Savior

(Daniel 7:14) And to him there WERE GIVEN rulership and dignity and kingdom

(Matthew 11:27) All things HAVE BEEN DELIVERED TO ME by my Father, and no one fully knows the Son but the Father, neither does anyone fully know the Father but the Son and anyone to whom the Son is willing to reveal him.

(Philippians 2:9) For this very reason also GOD EXALTED HIM to a superior position

(1 Peter 3:22) [Jesus] went his way to heaven; and angels and authorities and powers WERE MADE SUBJECT to him.

(1 Corinthians 15:25) For [Jesus] must rule as king until GOD HAS PUT all enemies under his feet.

(Psalm 110:1) The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord [Jesus] is: “Sit... Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”

Incidentally, where is Jesus' exhalted position? It is NOT replacing Jehovah God, because Jesus remains humbly at Jehovah's right hand.

(Psalm 110:1) The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is: “Sit at my right hand Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”

(Ephesians 1:19-20) the mightiness of [God's] strength, with which he has operated in the case of the Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places

(Acts 7:55,56) [Stephen], being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand, and he said: “Look! I behold the heavens opened up and the Son of man standing at God’s right hand.”

(Matthew 26:64) Jesus said to him: “...From henceforth you will see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power

(Romans 8:34) Christ Jesus is the one who died, yes, rather the one who was raised up from the dead, who is on the right hand of God

(Colossians 3:1) Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

(Hebrews 1:3) [Jesus] sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in lofty places.

(Hebrews 8:1) Now as to the things being discussed this is the main point: We have such a high priest as this, and he has sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

(Hebrews 10:12) But this man [Jesus] offered one sacrifice for sins perpetually and sat down at the right hand of God,

(Hebrews 12:2) Look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus. ...he endured a torture stake, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

(1 Peter 3:22) He [Jesus] is at God’s right hand, for he went his way to heaven

  5. This is YAHOO ANSWERS, not YAHOO STATEMENTS.

  6. Jesus said of Himself that He was God. He applied the name of God, "I AM," (See Exodus 3:14) to Himself in several passages. Here's a few examples: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, 58, and John 13:19. There are several others I have not listed. Besides this, Jesus said that He & the Father were one (John 10:30). This describes a unity, even though there are two. (Note, the I AM passages I referred to are from the Greek, as the English translations often mistranslate I AM for "It is I" or "I am He," to allow for readability.)  Jesus was nearly stoned to death because He claimed to be God.

Another angle to pursue is the various Scriptures that demonstrate that God's attributes are present in Jesus as well as the Holy Spirit. For example, the Father is eternal (Psalm 90:2), and so is the Son (John 1:2), and so is the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 9:14). Another shared attribute is their holiness. Only God is truly holy. The Father is holy (Revelation 15:4), so is the Son (Acts 3:14), and so is the Spirit (Acts 1:8).

Next, Jesus received worship, which is only for God:

"Then the men in the boat began to worship Jesus, saying, "You certainly are the Son of God!" (Matthew 14:33)

"Suddenly Jesus met them and said, "Greetings!" They went up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him." (Matthew 28:9)

"They worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy." (Luke 24:52)

"He said, "Lord, I do believe," and worshiped him." (John 9:38)

"I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and on the sea, and everything that is in them, saying, "To the one who sits on the throne and to the lamb be praise, honor, glory, and power forever and ever!" Then the four living creatures said, "Amen!", and the elders bowed down and worshiped." (Revelation 5:13-14)

Lastly, Jesus forgave sins. The Pharisees were correct when they asked, "Who can forgive sins but God alone?" (Mark 2:7) And yet Jesus did that several times.

EDIT:  You asked me to "read the Bible real careful?"  What arrogance you exhibit!  You are clueless about me and my Bible reading.  Not only have I read the Bible through 19 times (and the New Testament much more than that, in addition to study), but I am a seminarian who also reads [some] Greek.

I'm afraid that rather than winning me over to your argument, you managed to insult me instead.  Not a good way to validate a point.

  7. Thank you for translating that for me and millions of others who didn't know.

  8. The trinity doctrine was created so that Jesus could be the messiah.  Isaiah 9 indicates that the messiah would be called everlasting father.  So Jesus had to be the same as God or was a false prophet.......

Trinity is just another way for Christians to excuse glaring problems with their claims of God.

Christianity is basically Hellenistic belief cobbled together with Judaism, they don't go well together, because Judaism is about ONE God and there are many verses in the OT that talk about the existence of only one God, compared to the polytheism that existed in the rest of the world.  So Augustine realized that the 3 separate Gods of Christianity didn't go well with Judaism, and popularized the theory of the 3 in 1 God head.

  9. The amount of cognitive dissonance with respect to the trinity is amazing. Yes, you are right, it is logically impossible for three distinct entities to be the same entity - of course, a christian doesnt have to think - only believe.

  10. OMG DOES IT MATTER

If "GOD" Created "Jesus" Who the h**l created "god" and who created that person

its all a big fat sweety nasty hoax
