In reading the Gnostic Gospels, one thing that Jesus said is that the Son of Man resides in you....The iIngdom of GOD also lies within you and outside of you...

Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All."

Jesus said, "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

Jesus said, "Recognize what is in your sight, and that which is hidden from you will become plain to you . For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest."

How do you see thses passages to mean?

  1. "22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

If I did these things in YOUR name, would you know me?  Would you accept me into your home?  Would that be all that was needed?

  2. There was some french dude named de Part who Jesus never met.

  3. Like when you find out someone you never thought could do you wrong, did you wrong.  You kick them out and tell them that you never really knew them.  Just had that happen to me on an imagined slight.

  4. The verse you quoted, where Jesus said "depart from me, I never knew you", is used in a context of those who think they are doing the work of God, but they are not doing the work of God, they are promoting themselves.

  5. Hit the road Jack.  And don't you come back no mo'

  6. In your heading, when Christ said “I never knew you”, He was speaking in context to professing Christians, who are the only ones who call Him Lord.  And many of them will say to Him in the day of His return; Lord, did we not speak in your behalf? and in your behalf have brought to an end sin in our lives? and in your behalf done wonderful things to be proud of?  This is when Jesus says; I never knew you: depart from me, you who continue to sin on purpose, and saying on my behalf.

    Matthew.7:21-23.

There are many who think that they are righteous, because they say yes to Jesus, but they do not do His will.

  7. Question everything.  Questions will produce conflict.  When conflict is resolved, a new truth will be revealed.

  8. It means that If you never accept Jesus and believe and have faith, Also live for Him. If you are not saved when you die. Then Jesus will say depart from me i never knew you. For you did not get saved while you were alive. THere is only heaven and h**l. Jesus is the only way to heaven

  9. 'depart from me, I never knew you' is what He will say to those who preach a false gospel of "all you have to do is believe and you are saved"

He will say it to those who have not done the will of the Father.

  13. Those words "Depart I never knew you" came from that passage about not everybody who says lord lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven right? Some who think they are Christian when they don't follow the Word of God will not enter if they only say they're Christian as a title. But these passages, maybe just beware of things that can lead you to unbelief, cause the truth is out there.
