Which airports in US, do you know of that have low JetA fuel prices? What is the average price, and what are the prices at various large commercial airports throughout US?

Thanks.

  1. No idea...but JP-5 is nasty stuff. I used to be a gas turbine mechanic and also refueled choppers!!

  2. Try www.100LL.com

They list current fuel prices at the airport of your choice and they usually include Jet A in their listings.

  3. I don't know every one of them...but in Orlando right now...signature flight isnt bad....4.80/gal......dont go to chicago...or newark....upwards of 7 and come change per gal right now....ill get back to you on this one...

  4. KDET- 6.10ish for Jet a

    KEKE- 3.50ish for jet a

I'd say the average for Jet A is around 5.50 a gall. across most of your major airports

  5. In the last 6 months I've paid anywhere from about $3.50 per gallon in Tucson to $7.00 per gallon at Milwaukee. The average is about $4.50.

See http://www.fltplan.com/ to look up airports and the prices charged by FBO's at each one.

  6. If you wanna go cheap you'll have to stop in Ponca City, Ok or San Angelo, TX or a mid-continent stop like that.  You'll probably get Jet-A for ~$3.80-4.20 at stops like that.

The higher prices will be at Dulles (Signature $7.52), Baltimore (Signature $7.61) , Teterboro (Signature $7.20) ETC...

Good rule of thumb is to avoid Signature altogether!  (Service isn't great anyway)
