Jet Away in form for claiming the Talk To Victor Rose Of Lancaster Stakes
One of the strongest links on the line-up of the Group 3 Talk To Victor Rose Of Lancaster Stakes is the five-year-old bay horse, Jet Away. The graded event has attracted five three-year and older runners for the mile, two furlong and 95 yard race at Haydock on Saturday, 11th August. The prize money for the race is set at £31,191.
Cape Cross’ son has raced four times during the new season and has won an equal amount of races that he has lost. Entered as the evening’s favourite for the seasonal debut, Jet Away won the Ripon Silver Bowl Conditions Stakes on 19th April, 2012 at the Ripon race course over a mile and two furlongs.
Riding with jockey, Ian Mongan, he won the race by the margin of 1 ½ lengths and set New Hampshire as the runner-up. Settling third behind the winner was, Wannabe King.
The next stop for the Sir Henry Cecil trained was in the 32Red Festival Stakes (Listed Race) on 26th May, 2012 at Goodwood over a mile and two furlongs. This time the five-year-old was guided through the track by jockey, Tom Queally. Jet Away defeated the runner-up, Fiorente, by 2 ¾ lengths who was ridden by, Ryan Moore.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Retrieve.
The Juddmonte Farms Ltd. bred lost the winning composure right when it was time to strike a hat-trick as the favourite entry ended with jockey, Tom Queally, third in the Totepool Pontefract Castle Stakes (Listed Race) on 24th June, 2012 at Pontefract over a mile and four furlongs.
Brown Panther won the race by the margin of seven lengths.
The most recent attempt of the Khalid Abdullah owned was in the Group 2 Sky Bet York Stakes over a mile and 2 ½ furlongs. The bay horse ended fourth while the race was won by, Sri Putra.
