Jet Lagged Need Help Getting Back to Normal?

I came back from china about 1 week ago and I'm still a bit jet lagged and dont sleep until about 2 am how much longer will this take, and do you have any tips to help me sleep better?

  1. Been there, done that!

    Best way would be to forced yourself to stay up during the day (for me I will get so tireeed around noon) and try to go to sleep at night. Exposure to sun also helps that's why I always bring my son out as much as I can after a long flight home from Asia.

    It normally took me 2 weeks to get back to normal.


  2. i read somewhere that for every hour of time difference equals the amount of days to return to normal. my opinion its not particularly true. ive been to a 7  hour time difference and gotten over it in 2 days. do youre best to NOT sleep until at least 8PM at night. if you do need to sleep take no more than an hour/hour and a half nap. try to eat meals during normal meal time. eventually it will go away.

  3. The best way is too sacrifice not sleeping for one whole day. This method is really effective for me. I experienced this already and happens to me all the time. All I have to do is sacrifice a day without getting no sleep and wait for the night to get my complete rest.  

  4. ok, this is gonna sound dumb, but im just checking in case, but are u going to sleep when people tend to in your country, cuz thats a must, to get back into the routine......but im guessing u are doing that.....it should not last much longer now, by the time 2 weeks are up you will be completely fine........and as for drinking, all i can think of is the traditional tricks.....read a book, drink a hot drink (NOT coffee), if your hot at night then put a fan next to you, ......... uh, sorry man, i know this more than likely has not helped u one bit......... :(
