  1. Jetblue does not serve food or sell food unlike many other airlines.  All snacks and beverages (with the exception of beer, wine and cocktails sell for $5 with credit card) are free and JetBlue is very generous with their snacks and drinks...whole cans, multiple snacks and more snacks and beverages upon request after the service.

JetBlue is strictly a beverage and snack service airline.  And the level and amount of service is based on length of flight as well.  Typically, short flights that are about an hour or less you will typically see a service of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and bottled spring water followed by two snacks, one salty and one sweet.  The morning express service however in lieu of soda consists of Dunkin Donuts coffee, orange juice and water in addition to your choice of two snacks.

On a medium flight you will see a full service of sodas (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Diet Sprite, ginger ale, tonic and club soda), juices (orange, cranberry, apple, tomato, spicy tomato and iced tea), water, coffee, tea, beer, wine and cocktails.  After drinks, you'll get a snack basket passed around by the flight attendants with an assortment of Terra Blue Potatoe Chips, Doritos Munchie Mix, roasted cashews, chocolate chip cookies, animal crackers and biscotti.  Passengers are welcomed to more than one snack.  And as usual, additional snacks and drinks are available upon request for free.

On long cross country flights you'll get the above mentioned service plus a water service in the middle of the flight as well as an additional beverage service and Lorna Doone cookies.  Red-eye flights (includes free eye masks and ear plugs) to the East coast entails the above except for the last service, there are no Lorna Doone cookies, but a coffee, water and orange juice service prior to landing plus a hot towel service.

There are three movies to choose from and they change month to month.  Usually there is a popular movie, then an artsy movie and a children's movie.  This month's selection is Juno, Alien vs Predator and the third I don't really remember the title of.  They cost $5.  But if you do not want to watch a movie, the 36 channels of DirecTV (like cable at home) and 100+ channels of XM satellite radio is free.

The seats I would say is the comfiest you will find in any airline economy seats.  Our minimum amount of legroom on our Airbus A320 starts at 34 inches (compared to industry standard of 30-31 inches) and rows 2-6 and rows 10 and 11 have 38 inches of legroom (comparable to the amount of legroom you'll find on most domestic airline first class section).  The seats are leather and cushy and about the same width as any other airplane.

I usually bring a magazine or a book in case I don't feel like watching TV but usually always end up watching whatever is on.  There is a good selection of different channels for people of all sorts.

jetbblue is a pretty good airline, and the personal TVs add a delightful touch.

36 channels is pleanty, along with 100 channels of XM radio!

  3. Bring your own food, I think they only give you snacks (Sun Chips, pretzels, biscotti) and drinks. The movies are pretty good, you get to pick from 3 or 4 choices for about $5 (I went to Ft. Lauderdale last November, my memory's a li'l shaky). If you don't like the movies they're showing, you could just watch the cable TV, alot of channels and if you really get bored, you can track your position with Google Maps on one of the channels<insert "oooo" here>. The seats are pretty comfy, li'l bit more legroom than other airlines, but if you're big in your britches you'll find the seats a bit snug (narrow).

Oh, bring snacks for the attendants, you'll get freebies on the flight!
