Jetlag - how to prevent or minimize its effects?

Heard there would vitamins or similar stuff to take before taking off to make it less harmful, since we can't avoid it...

  1. ok.  I read this article that your body's food clock takes priority over your sleep clock.  Sounds a little cruel, but don't eat a thing on the plane.  Then when you get off eat a big meal.


  2. Drink plenty of water. Eat little and often (take your own food if need be). Adjust your watch to the time at your destination and try to sleep when it's night-time there.

    I should probably reply to this one in a couple of weeks after I've flown 24hrs to the UK LOL.

    I always find that flying anti-clockwise around the world (eg Australia to Hong Kong to England and then England to the USA) doesn't give me such bad jet lag as flying the other way (eg England to Hong Kong).
