  1. Michael's ;)))

  2. My aunts do that, they get stuff from Micheal's and other places the sell beads.

  3. Fire Mtn has a fine selection of everything you'd need.  They also have online patterns and tutorials and stuff like that.  Check out some of their designs and then look at the supply lists.  Don't buy your wire cutter at a craft store, however.  Get an inexpensive one on the hardware aisle at a discount store.  They are much better and less expensive, too.

A few things you'd need might be:

    round-nosed pliers

    chain-nosed pliers

assortments of beads (they have solid-color assortments and multicolor assortments, get some of each)

assorted findings, such as clasps, jumprings, and earwires

wire in different gauges (20ga for earwires and necklace components, and maybe 24ga for wrapping beads)

Once you see how you're really going to make things, you'll be able to order specific items instead of assortments.  If you're serious about it, I'd suggest Fire Mtn's kilo of assorted beads and a pound of their assorted cane glass.  Both are excellent values, especially now with flat-rate shipping.

  4. check at Michael's Crafts, JoAnn's and WalMart.  Also try

    firemountaingems.com

  5. I think it would be better to buy all of the parts you need instead of kits...it's cheaper that way.

  6. They sell a lot of teen craft kits at Wal-mart now. Here is the jewelry making one  http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...  but it doesn't look like it does earrings.

Here is one I found at jo-ann's  http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?C... it sounds like just what you're looking for, but it might be better suited for older teens.
