Yemen IS the country, and it´s on the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula....you could have googled THAT.

Your best bet on the grand father is to check at the University in Israel that keeps files on geneology.  I think it's Hebrew University in Jerusalem.  They might very well have the information you need.

If that doesn't work, the Mormons, for whatever reason, have an extensive geneological organization that covers ALL people...and have done a lot of research into Jewish families, too.  I think that is found through BYU.
