  1. Cohen and Levi are two of the most recognizable.

  2. Here are some examples, although there may be a list somewhere which would be better

Cohen- connected (although I have no idea what the percentage is) with being a Jewish Kohen.  This is different from a rabbi, but is the biblical priests that sons of Aaron the brother of Moses become (unless there's a reason they don't become a Kohen).

Levi-  The levites is also a tribe, (they'e kept track of levites and kohanim) and I hope that Levi goes with that person being a levite.

Epstein- Levitical[, historically, but not always now]

Rappaport- Has historical meanings which you may want to research.

Miller- supposedly the third most common surname among Jews in I think America. I think it is also common in everybody else.

    Shapiro

    I've seen Green alot.

Katz- supposedly "Kohen Tzedeq" Meaning righteous priest in hebrew.  I think it is for priests (I don't know the percentage)

    ------------

Note: It may be wise to research Jewish Laws on things especially on priests, for example, don't put the Kohen in a cemetery, or marrying a gentile or convert or widow or divorcee.  Or prostitute, although that is easy to realize.

  3. I am jewish and i have a lot of jewish friends so here it goes:

    Goldberger

    Goldstein

    Friedlander

    Greenblatt

    Hochberg

    Goldberg

    Lasday
