A person here said:

"Jesus Christ according to the islamic point of view was one of the mightiest messangers of God and he was a muslim.

A muslim by defination is a person who submits his will to almighty God..Jesus Christ said in the bible "I seek not my will but my father's will" so he was a muslim.."

So...by that defination are all Jews and Christians Muslims?

  1. That Verse is Fabricated ! the real one is I seek Not my Will But My Lords (Allahs) will !

  2. As a Christian my answer is no and to call  me a Muslim is an insult to me because I don't believe in Islam.  I believe Muhammad to be a false prophet as was warned about in the Bible and I believe the quran is not the word of God(although it does have some beautiful messages), again warned about in the Bible.  Many Muslims just like to say all the prophets before Islam was invented are Muslims in order to continue their erroneous beliefs that they are superior to people of all other religions(just as many members of other religions do too).  All of the prophets were Hebrew and it is insulting to call them Muslims.  Islam was not invented until centuries after Jesus was sent by God to give us the FINAL message and He was the FINAL messenger of God and His word.

  3. Jesus Christ (A.S) was, no doubt, a Muslim. He didn't go by anyone's will other than God's. Islamically, Jesus (A.S) didn't call God his 'father', but just

    'God'.

Jesus (A.S) didn't believe himself God's son, but His loyal servant and messenger.

To be a Muslim, one has to do just what he did. Submit to nobody's will, except God's. Associate no partners or sons with God.

If any Jew or Christian believes that God is just the One, with no partners or sons, and believes in all the Messengers (P.B.U.H) that He sent, he's theoretically a Muslim.

Allah sent down many prophets, which includes Jesus (A.S), Abraham (A.S), Moses (A.S), Noah (A.S) etc. The last one in this chain was Muhammad (P.B.U.H).

  4. Jesus pbuh was muslim .. but christians are not muslim because they they say jesus pbuh is the son of God.

    Quran Ch : 5

    44.   Verily, We did send down the Taurât (Torah) [to Mûsa (Moses)], therein was guidance and light, by which the Prophets, who submitted themselves to Allâh's Will, judged for the Jews. And the rabbis and the priests [too judged for the Jews by the Taurât (Torah) after those Prophets] for to them was entrusted the protection of Allâh's Book, and they were witnesses thereto. Therefore fear not men but fear Me (O Jews) and sell not My Verses for a miserable price. And whosoever does not judge by what Allâh has revealed, such are the Kâfirûn (i.e. disbelievers - of a lesser degree as they do not act on Allâh's Laws).

    45.   And We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose for nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if anyone remits the retaliation by way of charity, it shall be for him an expiation. And whosoever does not judge by that which Allâh has revealed, such are the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong¬doers - of a lesser degree).

    46.   And in their footsteps, We sent 'Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), confirming the Taurât (Torah) that had come before him, and We gave him the Injeel (Gospel), in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Taurât (Torah) that had come before it, a guidance and an admonition for Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2).

    47.   Let the people of the Injeel (Gospel) judge by what Allâh has revealed therein. And whosoever does not judge by what Allâh has revealed (then) such (people) are the Fâsiqûn (the rebellious i.e. disobedient (of a lesser degree) to Allâh.

    48.   And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Qur'ân) in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it and Muhaymin (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (old Scriptures). So judge among them by what Allâh has revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging away from the truth that has come to you. To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way. If Allâh had willed, He would have made you one nation, but that (He) may test you in what He has given you; so compete in good deeds. The return of you (all) is to Allâh; then He will inform you about that in which you used to differ.

  5. Ideally, that would be the case, I think; I'm a Christian BTW, so take it for what it's worth.

However, I doubt that anybody now living on earth is completely submitted to God; we may strive for it, but we are imperfect.

Does that mean that nobody is a Muslim?

lol it depends on how you use the word, eh?

  6. True

[Yusufali 3:33] Allah did choose Adam and Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of 'Imran above all people,-

[Yusufali 3:34] Offspring, one of the other: And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

[Yusufali 3:35] Behold! a woman of 'Imran said: "O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service: So accept this of me: For Thou hearest and knowest all things."

[Yusufali 3:36] When she was delivered, she said: "O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!"- and Allah knew best what she brought forth- "And no wise is the male Like the female. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected."

[Yusufali 3:37] Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From Allah: for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure."

[Yusufali 3:38] There did Zakariya pray to his Lord, saying: "O my Lord! Grant unto me from Thee a progeny that is pure: for Thou art He that heareth prayer!

[Yusufali 3:39] While he was standing in prayer in the chamber, the angels called unto him: "Allah doth give thee glad tidings of Yahya, witnessing the truth of a Word from Allah, and (be besides) noble, chaste, and a prophet,- of the (goodly) company of the righteous."

[Yusufali 3:40] He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have son, seeing I am very old, and my wife is barren?" "Thus," was the answer, "Doth Allah accomplish what He willeth."

[Yusufali 3:41] He said: "O my Lord! Give me a Sign!" "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three days but with signals. Then celebrate the praises of thy Lord again and again, and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning."

[Yusufali 3:42] Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations.

[Yusufali 3:43] "O Mary! worship Thy Lord devoutly: Prostrate thyself, and bow down (in prayer) with those who bow down."

[Yusufali 3:44] This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Messenger!) by inspiration: Thou wast not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: Nor wast thou with them when they disputed (the point).

    [Yusufali 3:45] Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;

[Yusufali 3:46] "He shall speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous."

[Yusufali 3:47] She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, 'Be,' and it is!

[Yusufali 3:48] "And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel,

    [Yusufali 3:49] "And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "'I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah's leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe;

[Yusufali 3:50] "'(I have come to you), to attest the Law which was before me. And to make lawful to you part of what was (Before) forbidden to you; I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord. So fear Allah, and obey me.

  7. The definition is wrong.  The first pillar of islam is belief in allah AND Muhammad.  Well Jesus would NEVER believe in Muhammad as a prophet, lol.  No it's just a word game for Muslims.  Like when they say allah translates to mean God.  Well, I guess that means anything named allah is now God.  It doesn't work that way.

Jesus calls God Father.  No Muslim would do that.

EDIT:  Maryam... needs to actually read the Bible if she's going to make comments about what it says, lol.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

  8. do they submit to the will of God?

then why do they associate with him? and why they do not believe his messenger?

submitting is not just a word.

  9. Yes you've made a point, but take into account that muslims do not believe that Isa (jesus) as was the son of God, we find it blasphemous, which is a big deal according to muslims as will christians find us blasphemous...so i guess it makes a huge difference.

  10. Jewish religion is older than Christian religion ( Jesus was Jewish)Christian religion is older than Muslim religion,so who is the copycater?

  11. At Least Jesus Christ wasn't a paedophile, unlike Mohammed.

  12. No/yes

Eh..basically the judaism practiced during the time of moses is the islam practiced today with minor differences.....and the christianity practiced during the time of jesus is the islam practiced today.

Judaism of today and that of moses are very different and same with christianity (and the judaism during the time of jesus ..well still existed, but for the most part was different than that of moses)......

    From the muslim perspective.

So this is why we say all the prophets were muslims....and the people that followed gods religion were muslims....although they didn't use that word specifically.....

BUT,  a no to the modern day christians and jews......because of what i mentioned above....
