Jhan Marinez's fastball has movement and velocity, says Chicago White Sox pitching head Coach
Don Cooper, the Chicago White Sox head pitching coach, is showing some great optimism for the future role of their player Jhan Marinez, who recently arrived in the south Chicago baseball franchise from Florida Marlins.
A former Marlins’ pitcher, Marinez, came as compensation of Ozzie Guillen, who did not complete his term with the White Sox and joined the Marlins instead.
Marinez is still to gain some Major League experience, but the White Sox are now putting some great emphasis on his potential throwing and looking optimistic for his potential game plan.
Pitching Coach Don Cooper wants him to open his arms before the start of the season and play an active role in entire 2012 competition.
"(Marinez's) fastball has movement (and) velocity," Don Cooper said. "His M.O. is he hasn't thrown strikes. He got my attention semi-negatively with what he was doing; He had the right idea but was going about it the wrong way. After a couple of practices, he instantly looked better."
Experts believe that Marinez has huge potential and his pitching has some extra flair while if he will be given a potential chance next season, the White Sox certainly can display a healthy contest against their division rivals.
Marinez’ potential play will give the White Sox a positive boost. In the presence of talented and skilful John Danks, Jake Peavy, Gavin Floyd, Chris Sale and Philip Humber, Marinez will learn his game with more confidence and give considerable consistency to the White Sox.
On the other hand, the White Sox manager Robin Ventura is making some progress giving the team confidence ahead of next Major League event.
Talking about experienced John Danks regarding Opening Day starter, Ventura said, "Right now, he is going to be that guy, we’ll move on from there, but I like him as that guy for right now. I'm not making it official. It could schedule out that way. "It's not an official official."
Starting from April 6 the next baseball season in USA is giving excitement to White Sox new manager. Ventura is ready and looking optimistic for his entire roster including potential starting pitcher for Opening Day.
