Detroit Tigers’ short-stop, Jhonny Peralta had an outstanding day as he had four RBIs with two runs and went 3-for-5 with an average of .322 in the Tigers’ 8-2 win against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field, Minnesota on July 22.
During the first inning, the Tigers scored one run to take a 1-0 lead when Ryan Raburn hit a one-run homer (401 feet) towards left-field. The Twins were grounded out at the bottom of the first inning without taking any run to move their score-card. At the

Kubel moved to second base at the end of second inning.
The Tigers led off with 4-1 in the third inning when Austin Jackson and Magglio Ordonez both added two runs on the single-run shot of Peralta towards centre-field. Victor Martinez occupied second base at the top of the third inning. The pitchers had managed
to limit the shots of the batters by pitching at their feet during the fourth inning.
The Tigers’ starter, Max Scherzer surrendered just one run on four hits and gave up just one walk in his seven inning pitches. He pitched with an ERA of 4.35 and struck-out four batters by giving only one earned run.
In the fifth inning, the Tigers accelerated their lead 7-1 by smashing three runs. Ordonez added one run on the drive of Peralta to deep left-field. The second and third run was taken by Martinez and Peralta, respectively, when Carlos Guillen singled off
centre-field. During the sixth inning, Martinez singled to centre-field and Raburn contributed one run to get an 8-1 lead.
