Korea’s Men’s Doubles team Ji Wook Kang-Sang Joon Lee surged into quarter-finals of SCG Thailand Open after beating Calvin Jia Hong Ong-Wee Gleen Tan on Thursday, June 7, 2012.

Later part of game also saw them giving each other tough time. They were locked in a tense battle at game point situation but Ji Wook-Sang Joon managed to tip the scale with 24-22 score in their favour.
However, this first set win did not help them in the following game as it was completely dominated by the scratch pair of Calvin Jia Hong and Wee Gleen.
This time the Malaysians did not repeat previous mistakes and launched a brisk attack. Their five continuous points resulted in 5-0 margin straight away in the start and they raised this total to 11 until half-time.
The opposing team never came out of this deficit and kept trailing behind in later part as well. They surrendered after reading decisive figure of 21-13.
This revised status made decider consequential and both contenders stretched full to oust their opponent.
No one could make difference until 7-7 but then Ji Wook-Sang Joon dominated nine uninterrupted rallies and reached at 16.
This turned final blow as they easily registered a winning margin of 21-12 and danced their way to the quarter-final round.
