Jim Beam Age?

Question

I have a sealed, unopened bottle of Jim Beam that my grandfather had. It has a label seal across the cap that says "US Internal Revenue, Distilled Product" and something stamped that looks like a serial number. I know this bottle is from the sixties or seventies, but would like to at least narrow it down some. Anyone know how I can go about finding out how old this (probably pretty smooth by now) bourbon is?

i have a old bottle of jim beam white label. the bar code is 80686 0000140. the bottom saysi 16b 87. please help. the copyright is 1938
