Jim Leyland and Bruce Bochy prepare for final clash in World Series – World Series Update
Both World Series managers Jim Leyland and Bruce Bochy are ready to play the final clash on Wednesday night.
However, both have still some decisions to make for the final rotation and line-up. Bruce Bochy knows that his batters will play according to the plan and possess the ability to handle ace Justin Verlander but he is still confused over his starter Tim Lincecum.
Whether he will start any game or remain in bullpen and play as a reliever is still not confirmed.
“Relieved? It still bothers you a little bit because you know how much he's hurting and maybe even embarrassed. You do think about his feelings. It's something that has to be done, But again, how he dealt with it was one of the more impressive things I've seen from a veteran player," San Francisco Giants' manager Bruce said of Lincecum in a brief press conference and told them about his induction in the bullpen.
This year, Lincecum has been playing with 5.18 ERA along with 10-15 win-loss along with 190 strike-outs and 1.47 WHIP.
On the other hand, the Tigers' manager Jim Leyland is confused as whether he should use Jose Valverde or not.
Jose Valverde, who is playing with 3.78 ERA along with 35 saves, 48 strike-outs and 1.25 WHIP also showed a great consistency level.
Meanwhile, both ends are also making great efforts to resolve every concern regarding their every position in the upcoming big clash between these two powerful teams of the game. On preparations, the San Francisco Giants' catcher Buster Posey stated in media and told the reporters about his team’s hard-work which they are putting to get the true level of power in their game.
He said, "We've been winning. And that's the most important thing, Would I have liked to contribute more? Sure. But that's the great thing about baseball and why it's a hard game. You have to be able to go through the highs and lows and keep that even keel."
The all important game is on Wednesday and everybody is waiting for the final line-up which still to be announced.
