Jim Miller: I do not care for a title shot at this point – UFC News
Jim Miller, the man who stands with seven straight victories in a row, says he is fed up of talking about getting a title shot at the lightweight champion of UFC. Miller says right now he wants to focus on his fight Nate Diaz and that he does not care about
what happens next. According to Miller, right now, he wants to give his best shot against Diaz, and if things work out then probably he might get a title shot.
In his recent interview, Miller came up saying, “It's been said that I might be getting a title shot, but I honestly don't care at this point. I'm fed up talking about it. I just wanna get in and fight on the 5th. After that, we can talk about it. I try
not to (look past Diaz). Nate is a tough fight, and that's where my focus lies. The title picture got so bottle-necked, with the rematches, and everybody lost. In my opinion, if you have under five UFC fights, let alone wins, you shouldn't be considered for
a title shot yet.”
He further added that he is just tired of being in this division too much. He then said that if he was in another weight class he would have been fighting for the title by now. He also said that Melvin, another fellow fight of the same division, would have
fought for the title by now. Miller appreciated the lightweight contenders for their patience, saying that there are a number of guys who could have easily done it by now such as Cerrone. He then added that most guys who were good once are now coming off losses
and that his win against Melvin and Nate Diaz could be proof enough that he deserves a title shot.
Miller added that his training for his upcoming fight has been great by now and he is feeling in the best shape he has ever been in. Miller believes he is excited to step in the ring against Diaz. Lastly, he said that this fight is big for him and he wants
to win at any cost.
