Real Zaragoza boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manolo-c23349 Jimenez, has reminded his players that their Copa del Rey tie with Levante is not over yet as there is still one more match to play.
A sole strike by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-Aranda-c8377 was enough to give the visitors all the three points they needed and now they go back to the second-leg with a one-goal advantage.
However, the Zaragoza boss is urging his players not to take anything for granted and be cautious against Levante in the remaining tie at home.
Jimenez believes the game is only halfway through and that there is still full 90 minutes left to play against a tough Levante team.
“Half the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 is done, but the other half is still left to do and is against a great team like Levante,” the Coach warned his players at full-time.
Reflecting back on the game, the tactician was impressed with his team’s efforts in the first-half. He believes that they have done and created decent chances to win the game.
“We have worked well in the beginning of the game and we have had our chances, before they then tightened a little, until the end, with that great goal from Aranda, we have gotten the win.”
The Spaniard also shared his thoughts on his opponents and what they will try to do in the return leg. He stated that Levante are a dangerous side on the road and they will make life difficult for the hosts.
The 48-year-old appreciates the fact that his team came away with a win but still thinks anything can happen when they again meet. He believes they have only done half of the job.
“The return leg will be difficult because they are a tough opponent away from home. We have taken an important win here, but not a definitive one.”
“We have done 50 per cent of our job.”
The two teams will again face off each other. This time it is in the Primera Division at the Romareda on Sunday.
A win for Manolo Jimenez’s men could take them to the top-half of the table. Currently Zaragoza are sitting on 12th position with 19 points.
