Jimmy Boy likely to prevail in Sarah Quicks Hen Party Open 550 at Shelbourne Park
G. Holland’s 2-year-old dashing hound, Jimmy Boy, has finally got an ideal opportunity to get back on winning ways. The black dog, who was quite unlucky in his previous three outings, is all set to come up with a fine act in the Sarah Quicks Hen Party Open 550 at Shelbourne Park this weekend.
Jimmy Boy’s last victory hit the headlines in early June, when he secured the top prize by a staggering margin of seven lengths. After clinching a comprehensive victory, the dog jumped up to the open level.
He ran pretty well in his last three races, but remained unlucky on each occasion. On June 23rd, the son of Ninja Jamie missed the victory only by half-length. He was third in his last outing here at the end of last month.
He is facing a bit weaker opposition this time and, it is a great chance for him to put his campaign back on the winning ways. The hound needs a swift break from the box in order to put the rest of the pack under some pressure.
Others competing in the 550 metre race are: Fridays Carroll, Camas Crash, Morell Knave, Tyrur Domingo and Howling Wind. The contestants will pursue a cash prize of €500. The action will begin at 20:46 GMT.
Camas Crash is yet to adapt to Shelbourne Park’s conditions. In his previous trip here last weekend, he could only grab third position. Morell Knave is not one of the consistent hounds around. So, it will be a bit dangerous to pin up hopes on him.
Fridays Carroll knows this track very well, but his poor form will be an issue. So, the punters should look elsewhere for the winner.
Similar is the case with Tyrur Domingo, who was third behind Razldazl Barack last weekend. Howling Wind stepped up to this class with a brilliant win, but suddenly lost his direction. He could only beat the back marker last time around.
Jimmy Boy surely will have to give his best shot to win today. The stats suggest that he is a safe option for betting. Good luck to all the runners.
