who do you think is the better musician and have they affected the world in anyway

They are both awesome but if I had to choose.. then it would most certainly be Bob Marley. When I'm in the mood his music just makes me feel calm and good. Reggae tends to do that to me sometimes. LOL!

As stated, Jimi was THE guitar man and Bob was the man who enlightened.

Your Q is quite tricky to answer, one was clearly a better musician in the accepted sense yet the lyrics of the other gave much to humanity. Whilst Jimi led the way in mastery of his guitar, Bob in my view made one think.

I guess that means my definitive answer has to be Bob Marley.

It's a question of what you like more. Bob Marley's lyrics were some of the best ever. On the other hand Jimi changed the way the guitar was played forever. They both affected the world in unique ways, Jimi with the guitar and Marley with the words.
