Jimmy Lange grabs unanimous win over Ruben Galvan at Patriot Center – Boxing news
Patriot Center, Fairfax, Virginia, witnessed Jimmy Lange demonstrate quality pugilism against Ruben Galvan, a bout in which Jimmy not only defended his World Boxing Union (WBU) Junior Middleweight gold but also grabbed the North American Boxing Union (NABU)
title.
Jimmy and Ruben were scheduled to take on each other on Saturday February 11, 2012, at the Patriot Center’s George Mason University arena. The 12-round clash had Jimmy’s WBU middleweight and NABU middleweight title on the line. Jimmy was able to convince
the three designated judges by his impressive show to get a unanimous score of 120-108.
Jimmy and Ruben both are enormously experienced individuals. Jimmy had been in a total 44 brawls. He has won 38 of his total bouts, lost just four and has been able to collect two draws. Lange, who hails from Virginia and had the hometown advantage in the
bout, possesses a decent knockout ratio.
Jimmy has collected 25 of his wins by knockout, hence securing a kayo ratio of 56.82%. The 36-year-old has won various titles in his long illustrious career. He has won NABA USA light middleweight title, wore WBC USNBC light middleweight title round his
waist, grabbed WBC Continental Americas light middleweight title, won the apex WBO NABO middleweight title and many other titles.
Jimmy currently secures the 27th rank in light middleweight American rankings. Ruben on the other hand is being denoted as a brawler who is on a declining trend. Galvan, who hails from Hammond, Indiana has been in 54 brawls and has won just 27.
He has lost almost 20 bouts and was able to get four draw decisions. The 39-year-old light middleweight after losing the 12-round skirmish against Jimmy has collected his eighth consecutive defeat. His knockout percentage is also hopeless and with the current
loss it has declined further.
Galvan, infamous as the Modern Day Warrior, has collected just 10 wins out of a total 27 by knockout, hence a KO ratio of just 18.52%. With the current defeat Ruben has tarnished his resume and brought it to 27 wins, 21 losses, and four draws in a total
of 54 clashes.
Jimmy on the other hand is becoming a top-notch brawler and has 38 wins in his account. This was Lange’s seventh consecutive win.
