Jimmy Lollie likely to lash victory in Pup Stakes
Jimmy Lollie holds the highest odds on the betting card for the high-stakes race of West Ilsley Stables Punt On A Pup Stakes that is going to be held at Hove racecourse on Thursday night, May 3. The action will commence at 21:40 (GMT).
In the Open Race, the S. Cahill-trained brindle dog will cover the distance of 285 meters while running against five strong hounds including Lil Risky, Sleeping Urban, Rally Town, King Scotty and Swabys Tony. The prize money of £150 will be distributed among
the runners at the end of the race.
Jimmy Lollie has been enjoying an outstanding success streak since the last couple of months. The five-year-old veteran runner won four races in a row during March-April. These excellent feats boosted the victor’s morale to a great extent along with placing
him at the top of the betting card.
The dashing dog also had a superb success splash during 2011. He elegantly accomplished five consecutive triumphs during July-August. Overall, he owns a terrific track record.
If Jimmy Lollie competes confidently, his chances to finish first in the Stakes will be as high as 97 percent.
However, each one of Sleeping Urban and Lil Risky can trigger an upset in the race. Sleeping Urban achieved a number of iconic victories during the last four months. After winning a big race in January, he earned a runner-up rank along with a top spot in
the month of February.
The J. Gammon-trained white dog went ahead to register a fabulous hat-trick during March-April. Currently, he is carrying immense winning momentum.
On the other hand, Lil Risky finished first in four consecutive races from February 24 to March 15, 2012. M. Wallis’ white and brindle dog stepped forward to win a race each on March 26 and April 6. Thus, he is awash with fighting spirit that will help him
do well in the coming contest.
In this scenario, Jimmy Lollie will have to unleash a strong and sensible run on the flat track. The race is likely to have many twist and turns. Let us see how the hot favourite hound manages to justify his tag. Good luck to all the runners.
