ones that featured Jimmy White, Jack Lisowski and Yu Delu as winners. They beat Paul Davison, Joe Jogia and Robin Hull respectively in their qualifying matches.
Jimmy White played his first qualifier against Paul Davison in the second round on Tuesday. White was playing with a lot of confidence since the beginning of the season as he had already beaten Davison
in World Open by 3-1. White gave him the same medicine again this time and grabbed a convincing win by 5-2 in the end. The Whirlwind will next meet Rory McLeod in third round of the qualifying session.
Young and impressive Jack Lisowski ended Robin Hull’s run as he defeated him 5-2 in his first qualifier of round two. The Q School pro place winner could not unsettle the young English cuemen despite
his two century knocks of 100 and 111. Lisowski took the victory easily, firing a couple of half-century breaks of 55 and 54.
China’s Yu Delu has been tremendous in his form during these qualifiers as he has reached to his ultimate match against the Welshman, Ryan Day. The Chinaman, Delu, made a terrific run grabbing all
of his qualifying matches in previous three rounds. Delu ousted Michael White 5-4 in first, Joe Swail 5-1 in second and Joe Jogia 5-2 in third round.
Both Delu and Day have already played each other once in World Snooker Wuxi Classic in June 2010. They met in round one where Day took the match by 5-4. Delu needs only one win to surge into Last-32
of 2011 Australian Goldfields Open.
