World Snooker legend, Jimmy White is in Wiltshire right now to help his friend and one of the top snooker players, Stephen Lee, in opening his brand new snooker club, named Wessex Break Club at the
Three Horseshoes Mall on Saturday night, June 4.
The Whirlwind White feels happy to be in Warminster to lend a hand to his friend as he opens his new snooker club. The former People’s Champion will be present at the official launch of the club at
the mall along with the snooker referee, Michaela Tabb.
The 49-year-old White will play with eight youngsters at the club. The Trowbridge potter Lee is also excited upon the arrival of his mates at the inauguration of the club.
While speaking to the local media, White said, “Stephen Lee’s a friend of mine and whenever a snooker player opens club, they get people down to help them. I see him at competitions a lot of the time
and we share transport and sit next to each other on the plane sometimes.”
The Tooting cueman, White added “From what I hear, he’s got some good tables down there and it gives local people the chance to play against Stephen and pick his brains too – it’s great.”
Both White and Lee were seen together last time in Mumbai, India where they went to take part in the CCI Open Snooker Tournament 2011 in January. The event was an invitational tournament organised
