Jin Jeong all set to be called Australian

The top 14th of the British Open Championship, Jin Jeong wants to settle in Australia.
Jin Jeong shocked the sports fraternity after he finished in a top-14 on Sunday’s British Open. This was his biggest debut major. The Korean amateur golfer took the Silver Medal as the leading amateur in The Open Championship, Sunday. His eagle on the par-four 18th hole plunged him into a tie for 14th place at-4 under par, one shot ahead of Tiger Woods.
Earlier he won the championship after defeating James Byrne of Scotland in 36-hole final at Muirfield in the East Lothians of Scotland. The 20-year-old produced a tremendous display of excellent putting when he had a birdie at the 32nd hole, on his tenth of the day.
After underlining his status of the first Asian amateur and the top 14th in the British open, Jin Jeong must choose which country to represent.
Jin Jeong, who stood a shot ahead of Tiger Woods has been residing in Melbourne for the past four years. He has the permanent residency of Australia and has been playing at Waverley Golf Club. This is the same club which became the first non-sand belt course in 70 years to win the VGA division One pennant title.
Predictions are that that the silver medallist, who turned out to be the first Asian to win the British Amateur Championship, will apply for Australian citizenship on his return from Scotland.
His coach Trevor Flakemore who is the head coach at Waverley Golf club refers Jin Jeong as a son. When asked from him regarding Jeong’s plans of Australian residency he replied that he was carrying the documents with him and was only waiting for Jin Jeong’s sign.
The crucial question that arises after the residency will be what country to represent should that be the new place of residence or the home country? Being a rising celebrity he is in the position of catching sponsorships which are coming from his homeland Korea.
"I've got permanent residency now but I can't say much about citizenship now because we need to wait and we need to think about it more," said Jin Jeong at St Andrews.
Jin Jeong has been declined of playing in Eisenhower Cup by South Korea but the player is all determined to play for the country.
The young Korean made the cut at a very crucial position and became the highest achiever among his natives. Jin Jeong is ranked 2nd in amateurs and has been invited to the masters in 2011.
The 20 years old who is often seen playing at the greens will turn professional after playing in the masters and what pushes the amateur is the determination to be the number 1 in golf.
Jin Jeong, who scored 4-under in the third round wanted to break the record of amateurs at the British open of 7-under par. This record is held by Lain Pyman in 1993 and Tiger Woods in 1996.He is really interested in playing the US tour but he cannot say much about it now.
Jin Jeong’s achievements include finishing a tie for 14th position with a 9 meters eagle putt on the final hole. This is one moment which the young amateur would not be able to forget. Jin Jeong will be seen in the Australian master of the amateur at Royal Melbourne Golf club from January 11th to January 14th.
The royal Melbourne golf course is located in Black Rock, VIC, Australia; it is of par 72 covering 18 holes on a yardage of 6023m.
It is one of the best courses in the world and it owes its position to three important variables. The land is perfectly undulating with wonderful holes to be played and the ground is sandy in nature which is ideal for greens and bunkers.
Summing up the story; what the analysts say regarding Jin’s decision of taking a citizenship in Australia after residing in it for 4 years is that chances are that the player might have to go through tremendous pressure in order to decide what to opt for in future.
