Jin Kim Hye wins Women’s 100m breast-stroke crown: 2011 FINA World Cup, Singapore
Kim Hye Jin impressed the arena with her performance at the 2011 FINA World Cup series in Singapore, on Friday, November 4. Hye Jin went on to win the Women’s 100m breast-stroke title, while Chad Le Clos grabbed Men’s 400m IM crown.
Korea’s athlete, Kim Hye Jin stunned her competitors, Leiston Pickett of Australia and Back Su Yeon of Korea due to her impressive speed in the pool, by clicking the finishing barrier in a record breaking mark of 1 minute and 05.78 seconds to clinch the
Women’s 100m breast-stroke title. More importantly, Hye Jin thrashed down Leiston Pickett’s previous best meet record of 1 minute and 05.83 seconds.
Pickett picked silver title by touching the finishing blocks in a time of 1 minute and 06.18 seconds, while Back Su Yeon earned bronze medal in a mark of 1 minute and 06.93 seconds. Joline Hoestman of Sweden earned fourth position by clicking the finishing
mark in a time of 1 minute and 07.25 seconds, whereas, Daree Jeong of Korea earned fifth place honours by touching the finishing fence in a spot of 1 minute and 07.55 seconds.
Keiko Fukudome of Japan earned sixth place honours by thrashing the finishing blockade in a blot of 1 minute and 07.83 seconds, while f***y Babou of France settled seventh in a time of 1 minute and 08.01 seconds. Laura Simon of Germany secured eighth spot
in a mark of 1 minute and 08.38 seconds.
On the other hand, the Men’s 400m Individual Medley crown was captured by South Africa’s consistent performer, Chad Le Clos in a winning time of 4 minutes and 04.16 seconds. Meanwhile, Kosuke Hagino of Japan earned silver medal in a fastest mark of 4 minutes
and 04.51 seconds and Markus Rogan of Austria settled third with a mark of 4 minutes and 09.49 seconds.
In addition, Yuma Kosaka of Japan ended fourth in a spot of 4 minutes and 19.22 seconds and Ronald Chen of United States of America earned fifth position in a time of 4 minutes and 27.49 seconds.
