Jl audio subs and amp?

Hi i have two jl audio 12w 3v3s 4oms and a jl audio 500/1v2 mono amp what is the best way to wire them up i dont no why there are two mono outputs on the amp .can you pleses help me thanks

  2. The best way to wire them up would be to bridge them as that  amplifier has 2 outputs for the subwoofer you would connect them in a series circuit.

    you would do this by

    connecting one end to negative from the amp then take that to one of the subs negative then from the the subs positive take it to the other subs negative then from that sub the positive to the amp. i suggest using 12 awg wire or you could even use 8 awg wire as that is the maximum your amp can take  

    also using this method will achieve a higher output from the amp

  3. It has 2 hookups to allow for more wiring options, you don't need to bridge it as it is already paralleled inside the amp. Just wire your subs to whatever load you've decided on and hook it up to one set of outputs. With the JL amp you can wire to 1.5- 4ohm and it will still produce the same amount of power.

    If you hook up a 2 ohm sub to each output the amp will see 1Ohm.
