  1. I work as a contact teacher for a home-school, distance education facillitation program.  We routinely set students up with courses from BYU, U of Mo., U of OK, NDCDE, Laurel Springs... the list goes on forever.

One of my students came to me wanting to try JMHS.  I did some research, and it didn't have the best reputation, but it appeared to be no worse than American Schools.  So we gave it a try.  The student found them very helpful while they were collecting payments, but as soon as the tuition was paid in full, they stopped being nearly so helpful.  They didn't necessarily take the money and run, but they took months to grade some of the work -- far longer than any student wants to wait (or should have to wait).

The other schools I mentioned aren't perfect, but they will always respond to concerns within a day or so.  Grades are processed in no more than a few days.  That's the sign of a solid program.

    JMHS is a gamble.

  2. I am currently a student at JMHS (Ashworth University) and I have not completed yet. I paid in full already and so far I have been very pleased with my experience with this school. They're very nice and offer a lot of help. They send you the course booklets, textbooks, etc. in the mail and you can either take the exams online or can mail them in. If you take the exams online, you'll get your score right then and there. But, with mail it takes time to get to the school and has to come back to you. I prefer to do the exams online because you get faster results.

I recommend JMHS. I hope this helped.

  3. I haven't gotten my diploma yet but I go to them.  They are really slow getting classes sent out and getting hand graded exams checked and sent back.  When you email them they do respond in a timely manner, I only had to wait 2 hours for a response, which isn't much considering I am not the only student there.  I take the same classes as my peers at public school and I left public school before a child is legally aloud to, so this program was recognized by my state as a valid school.
