Joachim Low admits http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 will play with a four-man defence against Netherlands
German national team manager Joachim Low has admitted that he will field a four-man defence against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 and will surely play for a win. The tactician insisted that the Dutch team has some great players and the German side
will have to be on their toes to get a good result. The boss also stated that he was delighted with the result against Ukraine and the determination the team showed.
Die Mannschaft staged an amazing comeback against Ukraine as they scored two goals in the second-half to end the match with a 3-3 score line. The Germans will next face high flying Netherlands in the next International Friendly
at the Imtech Arena in Hamburg on Tuesday, November 15.
Low admitted that he will not field a three-man defence against Holland in the next International fixture at home as the Dutch are dangerous in attack. He insisted that it would be suicidal for the home side if they started with
fewer players in defence as it could change the balance of the game.
The manager expressed his delight on the 3-3 result against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 and claimed that the players were brilliant as they staged a sensational comeback against a strong side. He admitted that there were lapses in defence but hailed
the performance in the end.
“In the game against the Netherlands, we will not play the three-man defence. Overall, I was really very happy [with the display against Ukraine], even if I am the only one with this opinion. The three goals against us had little
to do with the new system,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The tactician defended the new three-man defence system and claimed that the side has to be flexible and players should be ready to play in different situations according to the need of the situation.
“We have a main system, which has worked well for several months, but we want to develop ourselves and to be flexible and unpredictable at the European Championships,” he concluded.
Die Mannschaft will take on Bert Van Marwijk’s Holland on Tuesday and will be looking to end the year with a victory as they prepare for the European Championships to be held next year.
