The German national team manager believes that team-work and positive attitude are the two most important aspects before going into any game.
Joachim Low reckons that behaviour and positive attitude are key to any team’s success. The manager vows to implant these two important ingredients in the young German squad, as they prepare themselves for the upcoming Euro 2012.
Low opined that the German team is already blessed with these qualities, but it is important that the players must be reminded of the work ethics once again. The tactician has already won praise for his work ethic, and the recent
results have been a proof of his abilities.
While talking to FR-online.de, the 51-year-old further mentioned:
"As a coach you wonder how players will behave in a team. Being a real unit is more important than ever in today's competitive sports. In the team there are certain values that must exist: respectful treatment of each other, but
also of opponents.”
"Communication, tolerance, discipline, reliability [are key]. I see no pronounced egoists in our team, who adjusts the focus to make themselves look good or always score the goals. I see us as a very good team in which no-one pushes
himself to the forefront."
Low has been working as the German team manager since 2006, and has had a hugely successful time with the team. The tactician has previously won praise for his handling and grooming of young players. Apart from a spat with Michael
Ballack, Low has never been involved in a controversy throughout his stay with Die Mannschaft.
Ballack was dropped from the Euro 2012 qualifiers and he hasn't received a recall ever since. The midfielder retired from international football with 98 caps to his name. However, the manager recently admitted to his mistake of
dropping Ballack from the German team, expressing his desire of restoring ties with the veteran midfielder.
Low led the German team to a third place finish in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The 51-year-old has now targeted Euro 2012 win, and he believes that the squad has the capability of beating the best in the world.
