Low revealed that skipper Philipp Lahm will not start the game in his favoured right-back position as he wants to experiment on a few things. He insisted that the Bavarian will start on the left side of defence with the likelihood
of either Benedikt Howedes or Jerome Boateng playing on the right side.
The coach insisted that Lahm’s role for the game against Israel does not mean that he will play as a left-back in the European championship also. He insisted that the decision for that will be taken next week.

taken next week,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

“I see this game as a test for us because I want to try a few things to see how some players adapt to them,” he concluded.
