The Germany head coach is understood to make a few changes to the starting line up.
The 52-year old could surprise everyone by chopping and changing DFB eleven’s starting line-up for their game against Netherlands. The changes will not, in any way, weaken the team as Joachim Low is aware of the quality in the
Dutch squad, and knows that they will be looking bounce back from a shock 1-0 defeat at the hands of Denmark.
Prior to the game against Portugal, Low took a gamble by throwing in the young Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels in the starting line up to face Paulo Bento’s men. He even dropped Miroslav Klose in favour of Mario Gomez,
both his gambles paid off and now the gaffer’s ready to take a few more chances.
Low is thought to be considering dropping Schweinsteiger, due to his injury problems, Toni Kroos is his most likely replacement. The German tactician is concerned about the Bayern Munich midfielder’s injury worries, after seeing
him encounter a few problems in training.
"A coach sees things, is in constant contact with the players. The coach is very close and there are issues that help him decide. We analyse, we estimate,” he is quoted as saying in an interview.
Schweinsteiger is reportedly fatigued after a high pressure game with Portugal and his coach is not willing to risk him. Die Mannschaft head coach admitted that it is possible that he might make as much as two or three changes
after the last training session, to the side that defeated Portugal.
"It is possible that there are one or two changes. I do not rule it out. Maybe in the last training sessions there is something that will convince me to take a decision," he added.
Whatever line up Joachim Low picks to play Netherlands, it is understood that the match will be of high intensity. The match against Germany will be a must win game for the Dutch because their hopes of qualifying for the knock
outs rest on salvaging a result from Die Nationalelf.
