Joakim Noah stars as Chicago Bulls batter Milwaukee Bucks 110-91 – NBA Recap
On Wednesday night, the Chicago Bulls continued their impressive run into the season and overpowered Milwaukee Bucks 110 – 91, to improve their record to 27 – 8.
Carlos Boozer paced the Bulls with 20 points on 9 for 12 from the floor and 7 boards whereas Derrick Rose and Luol Deng both tallied 16 points apiece. Ronnie Brewer also chipped in with 15 points.
All these performances really helped the team in winning but the display of the night came from Centre Joakim Noah.
Noah was phenomenal and completed a rare triple-double by pounding 13 points, 13 boards and 10 assists.  He was naturally excited with his show and gave special credit to Derrick Rose for assisting him.
"Obviously it's a very humbling accomplishment," Noah said. "But we're playing for more than that."
“The only reason I was able to do it was because they were trying to get the ball out of Derrick's hands,"
Brandon Jennings led the Bucks with 20 points on 4 for 6 from the charity stripe whereas Ersan Ilyasova amassed 15 points. Forward Jon Leuer also netted 14.
Bulls outclassed the Bucks in each and every department, be it shooting from the floor (54.4%-42.0%), from downtown (46.2%-15.4%), rebounds (49-29) or the assists (32-20).
Milwaukee Bucks coach Scott Skiles was not impressed with how his team handled Bulls, especially Joakim, tonight.
"We weren't really bodying him up," he said. "We weren't jumping with him either. And he's got the ability to handle the ball, pass the ball. He always has. He hurt us tonight."
Both teams started aggressively and put up a good fight in the first 9 minutes of the game. Bucks were only behind by 2 points 21-23, before Boozer and Co changed gears and reeled off a 7-2 burst to end the first quarter with a
healthy 7 point lead.
A gallantly fought and high scoring second frame ended with Bulls outscoring the Bucks 34-30, to maintain their dominance in the game at 64-53.
It was the third frame that completely pushed the Bucks out.
The Bulls kept attacking throughout and maintained a double digit lead in the first 10 minutes of the frame. They were ahead by 13 points 86-73 and then in the last minute, they rattled a 7-2 spurt to turn the game completely in
their favour.
A 19 point deficit proved to be too much to cut for the Bucks in the deciding quarter and Bucks did not even get close.
