Just when all seemed calm at the Catalan capital, the former supremo has struck again and this time he wants to emphasize on his successor’s links with hooliganism.
Former Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, has taken out time, once again, to voice his dissatisfaction from the club’s current management.
According to the Spaniard, the current leaders of the club lack vision, have pointless strategies and are living on the club’s past heritage. He aimed his verbal assault towards Barca’s current president, Sandro Rosell and emphasized that he has no objective
or clear targets of his own.
Laporta then went on to hint that the current Supremo of the Catalan giants has links with hooligan gangs who are responsible for disrupting the atmosphere during several league fixtures, particularly the ones that take place at the Nou Camp.
The former president had made such claims previously as well and went on to accuse the current La Blaugrana management for lacking character.
As a result, Rosell came out with his explanation and gave several statements in order to give a sound concept regarding the club’s cause and how it strives to excel.
Consequently, Laporta has made an attempt to manipulate the statement and has claimed that he never had to explain anything regarding the club’s cause or the Catalan cause.
"The path they have chosen is mistaken... I do not even know which path they have chosen, " Laporta told Il Catenaccio. "When I was President, I had no problem explaining to the world the Catalan cause."
"They are living in our heritage,"
It is interesting to note that the Copa del Rey champions take great pride in their Catalonian heritage, yet they are still embroiled in political disruptions even in terms of football. Many blame http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 for excessive play-acting and diving while others
accuse them of using financial backing in order to strengthen their squad.
However, if such things were not enough, the Catalans have even brought politics to the beautiful game and the result can hardly be positive.
Whether Joan Laporta returns to power or not, it is certain that he is having a hard time waiting for his second chance.
