Joanna Coe set to start Symetra Tour
Joanna Coe is getting ready to kick off the Symetra Tour that is about to start from March 19-25, at Winter Haven, Fla, with a fearsome roster containing some of the big names on the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association).
Coe appears to be in high spirits these days, as she recently said that she will set foot on the course with big aims. Coe is preparing to participate in the Florida Natural Charity Classic.
In order to keep herself fully fit for the big event, Coe recently headed to the Faldo Golf Institute and tried to bring her back to the sport.
Coe is training hard to regain her composure after a host of challenges she faced in the last season. The Symetra Tour is best known for pitting leading players against each other.
It is being expected that the Tour that was previously known as the Futures Tour, is going to feature top-flight players such as Lorena Ochoa, Cristie Kerr and Karrie Webb.
Keeping in mind the tough battle coming ahead, Coe has devised a new training plan that will keep her in touch with her game.
Coe said that nothing has hampered her from coming out again on the professional arena.
She said that due to her effective practice plan, she has been able to regain her lost momentum. Hitting several balls on the range of 30 to 100 yards is giving her a real boost.
She said that she used three buckets of balls on the practice range in just one day, which was more than enough for a pro golfer.
Coe has been practicing along with her friend Sandra, who is proving a good partner.
“Sometimes I’ll come here with my friend Sandra (LPGA Tour rookie Sandra Changkija) and we’ll have short-game contests against each other, like you do with H-O-R-S-E in basketball,” Coe said.
She added, “Some days, I’m out here for seven hours. That’s what pros do. This is not a game for me anymore. It’s my job”.
Coe said that she does not like staying off the practice range, as this is what she promised herself when she decided to make this season memorable.
