Portugal midfielder Joao Moutinho believes http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paulo-c29431 Bento can steer the Seleccao to the European Championships title this time around, and they were fortunate to have a man of his calibre as their manager.
The 43-year old was appointed the Portugal manager in September 2010, following http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Queiroz’s sacking in view of the team’s poor start to their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign. To this date, he has managed the Seleccao in 20 matches and boosts an impressive
60 percent win record.
After losing out their first game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882
1-0 in the quarterfinals.
Also with the Portuguese skipper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 hitting the top gear, Moutinho thinks Bento can lead his country to Euro accolade, and praised all the hard work that he has put into the team.
While talking to reporters, he said: “I believe that Paulo Bento can guide us to success. It is great to have a coach like him. He is doing a great http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. I have known him for years. His name is written all over this team. Ever since day one, he has transmitted
what he wanted, and we take those ideas in.”
Although the midfielder played a helping a hand in his country’s 1-0 triumph against the Narodak, providing a stinging cross to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 who went on to score the lone goal of the game, he expressed his chagrin over not being able to find the back of the net
himself and admitted he needs to score goals.
However, Moutinho indicated that he won’t get preoccupied over the thought of netting more scalps, and he will be better off not being on the score sheet if it meant victory for his team.
He also said that he enjoys good communication with all of his team-mates, and will give it his all in the semi-final.
